Our Easter Chocolate Fries
Whether you like dark chocolate, milk chocolate, ivory white chocolate or praline, we offer you plenty of choice to enjoy our adorable chocolate fish, shellfish and crustaceans. Each subject is cast in a mold designed by the House with as much care as fantasy.
Like our other creations,
our Easter chocolate fry
is made from our custom-made homemade couverture, developed by our chocolatiers. This unique blend is made with cocoa beans that combine the acidity of Madagascar, the floral fragrance of Ecuador, the robustness of Haiti and the spicy aromas of Venezuela, selected by us from cooperatives that share our values and our high standards. On that note, would you like another little chocolate fish?

Chocolate praline frying
We'll let you in on a secret? Our chocolates filled with praline chocolate, coated in dark chocolate or milk chocolate, are particularly dear to our gourmet hearts because praline is one of our specialties. Made by our chocolatiers from French hazelnuts, almonds or even pistachios, roasted then caramelized before being cold ground using an ancestral and now very rare technique, our À la Mère de Famille praline is a real marvel not to be missed at Easter... or during the rest of the year!
Speaking of praline, do you know
our easter eggs
with praline chocolate?
Why are these traditional Easter chocolates called “friture”?
Among the various Easter chocolate specialties, such as Easter bunnies, chickens and eggs, chocolates inspired by the sea occupy a special place. Chocolate molds, turtles, fish, crustaceans and shellfish are enjoyed at Easter in memory of an episode recounted in the Bible. After his resurrection, Jesus is said to have appeared on the shores of Lake Tiberias: the fishermen, who had cast their nets until then without success, then struggled to pull them up because they were so full. The name "friture" kept by the chocolates commemorates the memory of this miraculous catch, and the traditional way in which these seafood products have always been prepared in the kitchen, that is to say fried in oil.

Want to make your own chocolate fritters recipe?
Are you inspired by the passion of our artisan chocolatiers and do you want to get started? As chocolate lovers, we understand each other. First, you need a food mold of friture shapes (set of mussels, shellfish, fish and other crustaceans) in which to pour your dark, milk or white chocolate couverture according to your preferences. Be sure to wipe your mold well, which must be perfectly dry.
Break one of our into large pieces
chocolate bars
, with a more or less full-bodied or creamy taste depending on the one you have chosen. First melt two thirds over very low heat in a saucepan in a bain-marie, then add the last third, and let melt while stirring gently. Scrape the edges with a spatula to ensure a uniform temperature for your mixture, around 30°C. Brush your molds with a brush so that the chocolate penetrates well into the shapes. Then fill each shape with melted chocolate, tap to remove air bubbles, and remove excess chocolate by scraping. Leave to cool for 20 minutes, then unmold your chocolate by turning your mold over.
