A chocolate Easter egg hidden in a real shell!
We love to delight you as much as we love to have fun with our creations. So we have hidden under a real shell a chocolate egg with a praline heart, where cocoa butter is mixed with finely crumbled biscuit, all covered with a milk chocolate or dark chocolate shell. All you have to do is peel it to enjoy! The height of the fun, our egg lookalike comes in a box shaped like a real egg carton, which will add to the surprise once opened.
But how do our praline eggs taste so good?
Between praline and À la Mère de Famille, the love story has lasted for decades. To develop our house specialty recipe, our chocolatiers carefully select French hazelnuts, almonds and pistachios from Sicily. The dried fruits are roasted, then caramelized, and finally cold ground on a granite millstone, an ancestral technique that contributes to the inimitable crunchiness of our praline. In order to guarantee the stability of certain recipes, our chocolatiers add, when necessary, soy lecithin to the cocoa paste, accompanied here by milk powder and a hint of vanilla and… shush, we keep our manufacturing secrets cool with the rest of our ingredients! The mixture is then coated in a dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate coating, before being wrapped in pretty papillotes.

Besides, why do we eat chocolate eggs at Easter?
That’s a good question. This tradition dates back to the Middle Ages, when people gave each other eggs made of wood, stone or metal, decorated with shimmering colours, to symbolise rebirth and renewal. Over the centuries, chocolatiers have gradually taken up this custom to reinvent the Easter egg and transform it into an elegant and festive treat. Initially reserved for an elite, this pleasure is now accessible to all thanks to a wide choice of recipes, assortments and prices.
